She combines humor, hope and helpful tips to encourage women to look and feel their best as they take their first high-heeled step back into the dating world.  Join Ginger as she takes the stage to share hilarious dating stories, results from her "Manfile" interviews, and shows you how to choose the one piece of clothing you MUST have in your dating wardrobe to make you look younger, taller, thinner, sleeker - and you can try it on at Bloomingdale's! Ginger is a regular contributor to Skirt! magazine, Sharewik.com, the host of Book Talk with Ginger on America's Web Radio, and has been featured in Glamour, LovingYou.com, Good Day Atlanta, Star 94, Great Day St. Louis, South Florida Today, and more! Ginger recently helped raise more than $2,000 as she joined forces with Grape Crush Productions to host A Makeover For a Cause, to benefit The Atlanta Women's Foundation. Ginger donates 30% of her book proceeds to organizations that support women and teens

 

Sandy Dalis, Holistic Health Coach - 7:00PM

Sandy Dalis is a Certified Holistic Health Coach who helps women deal with food cravings, find balance and learn what to eat so they can enjoy a healthier, more energetic life. After working for many years in the fast food business – which promotes addictions to unhealthy food – she was inspired to become a health coach to share her passion for nutrition and wellness. Sandy received her training at Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.  She leads workshops on nutrition, and offers Individual health and nutrition coaching.

2010 United Way Shoe Box Project

 

Each year, individuals and companies throughout the metro area donate shoeboxes filled with toiletries to be given to homeless women and children. Last year, more than 12,500 shoeboxes were distributed to more than 80 homeless shelters across our 13-county area. Our goal this year is to fill 100 shoeboxes at this event. We'll supply the boxes, please  We need your help!

At Grape Crush Productions we believe the culinary arts are a vital part of a city's culture. In partnership with the City of Atlanta (Office of Cultural Affairs), we are celebrating the local food and wine scene for an entire month with exciting events at diverse venues. Atlanta Food & Wine Month, now in its second year, effectively fuses the love of food and wine with all art forms in a series of special events highlighting the best venues, chefs, restaurants, sommeliers, art galleries, retailers and more that our city has to offer. April is also Jazz Appreciation Month and many events will feature live entertainment from Atlanta's best jazz artists. From wine tasting parties at art galleries and clothing boutiques, to hot restaurant meal deals - locals and visitors alike are encouraged to eat, sip and savor all around town!

SHOEBOX PROJECT 2010

We're hosting a "shoe box party" during the Women's LifeStyle Expo in support of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta! Each year, individuals and companies throughout the metro area donate toiletries and decorate shoeboxes to be filled with the personal items and given to homeless women and children. Last year, more than 12,500 shoeboxes were distributed to more than 80 homeless shelters across our 13-county area. The goal this year is 20,000 shoeboxes - we need your help! Please donate to the toiletry drive. All guests making a donation will be eligible to win cool prizes including theater tickets courtesy of Broadway Across America Atlanta!

Bloomingdale's is partnering with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) from April 1 through April 22 to celebrate Earth Month. The partnership will be executed through various in-store and online events, visual elements, loyalty programs, special philanthropic merchandise and marketing materials. Bloomingdale's will be creating Little Green Boutiques in stores across the country, featuring exclusive merchandise such as a green water bottle, reusable tote bag and sustainable umbrella.  A portion of the proceeds of every item in the shops benefits the NRDC, including 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the Little Green Card, an electronic gift card that can be purchased at any denomination.  As an added surprise, shoppers will be treated to a special matchbook seed packet takeaway at registers as a reminder to take care and give back to our environment.
